Patent No : GR1008036 (B)

The invention relates to a methodology based on the alkaline lysis and biochemical treatment of the nutritional elements of the cornus mascula fresh fruit pulp, which methodology leads to an aqueous acid extraction containing said nutritional elements along with the more stable derivatives thereof. The whole reaction is based on the initial acid pH (3,5-4) of the natural environment of the fruit and the chemical effect of the alkaline solution NaBr reaching a pH of 10 with use of NaOH in PBS solution. The spectrometric analysis shows that this extraction contains plural chemical substances in observable concentrations; these chemical structures are issued from their conservation during the smooth alkaline lysis of the aforementioned cellular structures and the smooth release of the nutritional elements, synchronically with their biochemical modification into more stable chemical structures, in the presence of Br ions. The high content of the cornus mascula in rare trace elements and antioxidants makes the application of said methodology particularly important in the sectors of the basic and applied research carried out in the biomedical sciences and health biotechnology domain, since said methodology -unlike the biochemical building of rare and physical antioxidants- allows the conservation of the natural chemical structures of the nutritional elements of the fruit by giving plural spectrometrically-detected chemical structures.
